Nauticam Shipping Housing for RED Komodo 6K
Nauticam is shipping its new housing for the Komodo 6K—RED’s rather enigmatic new cinema camera. While details about the camera are still absent from RED’s website—it hasn’t yet been officially announced—its specifications are (more or less) known: It boasts a Super 35 sensor with a resolution of 6144 x 3240 pixels, shoots using the full sensor at 6K up to 40fps and 4K up to 60fps, records REDCODE RAW and ProRes files, and comes with Canon’s new RF lens mount. Oh, and it will “only” set you back about $6,000—that’s about half as much as the next cheapest RED model (Dragon-X).
