Admin – Monochromia – Black & White Photography Article

Admin – Monochromia   I don’t know about you, but I often take a picture that I wonder what appealed to me at the time. What caught my eye. I think I’ve seen some sort of shot before and there is this flash of recognition and I try to record the image I have seen in my head. It maybe the lines in the shot the way the windows and the wooden doors contrast with the brickwork. Or maybe it’s a…

Like Dragons in the air – Monochromia – Black & White Photography Article

Like Dragons in the air – Monochromia Norway is known for it’s wooden churches. This one in Borgund is no exception It dates back to 1183 but the timber used was felled in 1180. Although it looks really oldies not that ancient really; it was built with stones from the beach in 1932. I had to do a fair bit of photoshopping to remove the people but the end result looks ok to me. More Adventures with the Best Little Light Shaper « Joe McNally’s Blog – Photography Article

I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve had with photogs who want/need to work super simple, fast, carry very little and still have a good result with flash work. Being at the TPS show recently in Birmingham, I had the pleasure of conducting a couple of photo walks with fellow shooters, and creating a couple of scenarios that are of the aforementioned “super simple” type. I’ve really come to revere my little Ezybox Speed-Lite Two Plus soft box…..let’s just…
